Yea, though you walk through the Valley of the Human Shadows of Death, you will fear no evil: for He art with you; His Glow and His Warmth they comfort you. Praise be! Such a glowrious day!
The Gift: Through communion with The Divine Glow, you are somewhat inoculated against the effects of radiation poisoning. You take only half damage from radiation, but do not suffer from sickness.
How were you guided to The Glow? (d8)
1.) He spoke to you through the clicks of a Geiger counter.
2.) While on the verge of dehydration you drank from an irradiated puddle and were blessed with a vision.
3.) While exploring a ruin, your party became trapped in an old reactor. You survived. They did not.
4.) Missionaries of The Glow appeared in your settlement one day. Although they were quickly driven away, you were moved by their words and decided to join them.
5.) You were abandoned as a child. A member of The Church found you, and you’ve been faithful to The Glow since that day.
6.)
Blessing of The Glow (d8)
1.) Glowing Gospel
You possess your own copy of The Glowing Gospel, a large tome of irradiated metal sheets enclosed within a lead cover. In addition to being a useful weapon (d4), you may read from the book, exposing those around you to His Word. Presence DC14 to mesmerize all who can hear you until you close the book in d4 rounds.
2.) The True Gift
Not only does The Divine Glow shield you from the harmful effects of radiation, but He actively grants it curative properties. You ignore half of any damage taken from radiation, and heal an amount of HP equal to the other half.
3.) Inquisitor’s Gift
The Glow has bestowed upon you the ability to ferret out mutants, revenants and other such blasphemous creatures who pervert His gift. Whenever such a monstrosity is nearby, you are able to sense the radiation within them, and they cannot take you by surprise.
4.)
5.) Ensconced In His Most Holy Glow
So strong is your faith in The Glow that you refuse to wear armor. Your very flesh is your armor (d2), and you are surrounded with a glowing green aura. Any foe who successfully attacks you in melee takes one round of radiation damage.
6.) Aspergillum of Tritiated Water
Sprinkle me, Glow, and make me green! You may douse faithful and heathen alike with holy water from your aspergillum (dousing a foe requires Strength DC12), causing their skin to take on a sickly green glow. They are infected with radiation poison, and as long as they are under the effect of radiation poisoning every successful attack they make is automatically a critical hit.
7.) Nuclear Apocrypha
There is some debate about which chapters of The Glowing Gospel are truly His word, despite what The Church would have you believe. You possess an apocryphal scroll which declares a single mutagen to not be heretical. Coincidentally, this is a mutagen you happen to possess. You begin with one randomly determined mutagen. Using it counts as a use of your Powers.
8.) Holy Trefoil
You wear an ornate trefoil pendant around your neck. When you brandish this holy symbol on a successful DR14 Presence test, roll a d6. On 1-3 any revenants and mutants who can see you immediately flee in the opposite direction. On 4-5 any revenants and mutants who can see you become enraged, relentlessly attacking you to the exclusion of all else. On a 6, a blinding flash erupts from the trefoil, reducing any revenants and mutants in the area to ash, after which the trefoil becomes inert.
